HE DIDN’T INVENT GORE-TEX, EITHER

Despite what the internet says, Al Gore born today March 31, 1948 never claimed to inventing the Internet. He will, however happily claim being the 45th Vice President under Bill Clinton, and one of America’s most respected and repudiated environmental activist. He was also Tommy Lee Jones’s (who also happens to be a proud resident of San Saba Texas my grandparents home town) roommate at Harvard, served a tour in Vietnam and won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on climate change. With a resume like that, he has a lot to talk about, which is just what he did at a recent conference here in Scottsdale. Happy Birthday to a man who always has something to talk about. What public figure gets you talking?
