Phoenix, AZ ~ Peter Jordan Photography provided the cover photo and story images for the Fall 2012 edition of the “NRG Energy Center Phoenix Newsletter”. The images featuring Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Basilica in downtown Phoenix highlight the beautiful light cream facade (as viewed from the Phoenix Convention Center), an interior overview emphasizing the luminous light shining on the altar below from one of the four domes plus a wonderful photo of Father Vince performing a baptism during the Easter Vigil. Located at the corner of North Third Street and Monroe, the two-level, 20,000-foot Basilica is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix
The Diocese contracts district cooling service from NRG Energy Center Phoenix for both Saint Mary’s Basilica and the Diocesan administrative headquarters right next door. NRG Phoenix is honored to have served Saint Mary’s Basilica since 2002. NRG Energy Center Phoenix also provides energy-efficient and environmentally sound district energy and/or combined heat and power services to buildings in downtown Phoenix and Tucson, AZ, and on the Arizona State University campus. The downtown Phoenix system started it all, beginning operation in 2001 by serving Bank One Ballpark, now called Chase Field.
